Need a Mass Storage Controller driver for an old Sony Vaio VGN-AR650u upgraded to Win7-32 Ultimate External optical drives that don't use mass storage controller mass storage controller. Compaq nc6120 Mass Storage Controller. HP Compaq Notebook nx7200 BIOS F.04 A Windows XP. Ethernet Driver 2.00 A Windows XP HP Compaq Notebook nx7400 Broadcom BCM440x 10-100 Windows XPPlatform. HP Compaq Notebook nc8430/nw8440/nx8420 BIOS F.05 Windows XP. Mass Storage Controller has no driver, windows update can't find a driver. After doing a full installation of Windows 7 professional 64-bit onto a laptop previously with Windows XP MCE 2005 there is a problem with a piece of hardware.
I loaded Win 7 on a compaq presario v2000, which originally had win xp on it. Anyways windows 7 loaded fine, the only thing is that when I look in device manager, there is one entry called mass storage controller that has a yellow exclamation mark on it. I have uninstalled it and did a 'scan for hardware changes', and initially the computer says 'installing driver' but ends up saying 'device driver not installed successfully'. Where can I find this driver? Its not listed on the hp site for my computer. There are two changes I made, and Im wondering if that is why I dont have a driver for the mass storage controller. First, the system originally had windows xp on it, and second, the processor is a 64 bit AMD turion and the operating system I installed is 32 bit.
If those arent what would cause the issue then I dont know why Im facing the problem. Helppppppppppppp
