there is no driver update for the wireless gamepad f710

I have tried connecting my Logitech Harmony 900 to 4 different PCs (3 different brands - Asus, Dell, & Sony). All of the PCs are running Windows Pro 8.1 and have all updates installed and all of the latest drivers.

I had this exact issue with the F710 wireless gamepad on a Samsung laptop running 8.1, and it is solved by changing the driver for an Xbox360 wireless controller driver.

You may need to download the wireless x-box 360 controller driver first if you haven't got it built in. Worth checking to get the latest version anyway, search for xbox 360 controller drivers for windows, don't pay any heed to the OS stated just get the latest version and that works in windows 8.1

If you can't get to your drivers control panel easily or haven't done this before:

Go into control panel, click the drop-down tag in the window adressss bar next to the words control panel and click to select 2show all control panel items',

Then go to drivers and find the game-pad and go into properties for that device and select to change the driver and load the xbox360 driver to that device.

The F710 Wireless will work fine with the Xbox Driver in 8.1 and 8.0

It really took some patience, you can do it easily though and there are youtube tutorials and plenty of results on google for F710 gamepad with xbox 360 driver.
